Real Talk. Real Life. Real Support.
You’ve spent a lot of time being the strong one. The calm in the storm. The one who holds it all together when everyone else is falling apart. But that strength? It can get heavy. And at some point, you start to feel it in your bones—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
As a licensed professional clinical counselor, I help women who carry a lot, whether it’s the weight of a high-stress career or the mental load of everyday life. If you’re burned out, stretched thin, or just tired of pretending you’re fine when you’re not, you’re in the right place.
You deserve a space just to be real. To unpack everything you’ve been holding in. And to do it with someone who gets it.
What It's Like to Work With Me
Let’s be honest—therapy can feel awkward. But not here.
My clients often describe me as honest, compassionate, and refreshingly real, with just the right mix of humor and clear-headed logic. Some even say I live up to my namesake (Spicer) by bringing plenty of “spice” to our work, meaning I’m direct when needed, but always with care and intention. I’m not shocked by anything you bring to the table. I won’t judge your dark humor or your coping mechanisms. I’ll listen deeply, challenge you when needed, and support you like hell.
I understand what it’s like to feel pulled in every direction—because I’ve lived that too. I’m a wife, mom, caregiver, and dog mom (shoutout to Gretzky, my labradoodle co-therapist who joins me for virtual sessions). I know what it’s like to try to balance the emotional labor of life with a career, a household, and your own mental health.
Therapy with me is a space where you can drop the mask, take a deep breath, and just be human.
I take a personalized approach to therapy because no two people are the same. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and other supportive methods to help you heal in a way that fits you.
Why I Do This Work
Before I became a therapist, I spent more than a decade in Corporate America—working in marketing, sales, real estate, and product development. And honestly? I cared more about people’s stories than the company’s bottom line. I realized what truly energized me was helping others feel seen and supported, so I went back to school and followed that calling.
Since then, I’ve worked with students, families, and adults through all kinds of life changes—grief, trauma, career burnout, anxiety, parenting, relationship struggles, and identity shifts. I’ve supported people in schools, homes, offices, and now, right here.
Every person I meet brings a unique story, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside them through the hard, messy, beautiful parts of healing.

When Not in Session...
After years in the Minneapolis suburbs and a seven-year chapter in Madison, WI, I now live in Rochester, MN.
I love being near water, soaking up the sun, walking with my fur baby, Gretzky, hitting the golf course, reading books, and catching up on my favorite reality TV shows.
Recently, I’ve gotten into weightlifting—and I’m hooked.
I believe in balance. In rest. In keeping it real. And I believe that laughter and healing can live in the same room.
